Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, food preparation, and menu planning to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in creating and implementing menu items
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and staff to maintain high-quality standards
- Assist in training kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Manage inventory and control food costs effectively
- Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef
- Contribute to menu planning and development
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, food preparation, and supervising staff
- Familiarity with menu planning and food safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
