Quality Engineer
Well established and growing Tier 1 automotive manufacturer is now looking to add a dynamic Quality Engineer.
What you are doing as a Quality Engineer:
- Ensure product conformity to customer requirements – Daily customer interaction
- Respond to Customer concerns in a timely fashion using established response formats (5 Why, 5P, 8D, etc.)
- Identify strategies and actions necessary to improve key performance metrics
- Support and maintain internal quality systems and TS16949 certification
- Support internal manufacturing operations for quality related functions
- Support lean initiatives.
- Participate in PFMEA preparation
- Control and maintain Control Plans and customer required Inspection Standards
Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills – Six Sigma, PDCA, A3 experience.
- Minimum Tier 1 Automotive Experience of 3 yrs. in quality engineering field – Preference with Automotive requirements
- Experience with development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEA
- Ability to read / interpret product prints and specifications.
- Background in and abilities in statistical analysis, DOE.
- Familiarity with or certification in TS16949 Standard
- Strong Communication & Problem-Solving skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work, think and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent attendance, must be willing to work overtime
- Computer skills (Excel & Word)
- Demonstrated ability to work with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
