General Description:
This job will require intake of all trucks, vans and note of their arrival, delivery and departure. All trucks and vans will be required to be inspected upon intake, and inside cleaned prior to delivery back to the customers. There will be communication with order management/transportation manager and shop foreman as needed.
Position Expectations:
The candidate will be expected to be punctual, have good time management, attention to details and strong communication skills. They will need to have good knowledge of the greater Houston area highways and surrounding regions for all pickups and deliveries. Customer service upon pickups and deliveries will be of utmost importance. There will be periods of long driving and heavy traffic ranging in various distances. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operators must be safe with all vehicles picking up and or delivering. Drive in a safe and efficient manner to represent the company throughout the greater Houston area.
- Inspection of vehicle upon picking up from dealers and or customers.
- Data input into company assigned computer for all vehicle pickups and or deliveries.
- Be attentive to detail in regards to vehicle VIN numbers and communicate with the company order management to verify pickup, delivery and awareness on location of vehicle.
- Willingness to drive long distances, >3 hours at a time, early mornings, in traffic to make timely deliveries according to the schedule.
- Assisting the shop as needed with cleaning insides of compartments, tool boxes, shelves etc., in order to assure that each truck/van is in a clean condition prior to final delivery to customers.
Position Type/Expected Hours:
This is a full-time position, with hours of work ranging 7-4. There will be some days starting earlier than 7 and finishing later than 4 depending on schedule. Lunch hours will vary and with expectation that it will be taken while on deliveries.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.89 - $15.71 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
