Summary
Maintains and repairs different control systems in facility equipment such as cooling water supply, HVAC controls, electrical monitoring, safety alarms, etc. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of control systems required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work where necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches. Must be self-motivated and able to work alone under pressure. Willing to work off shift times for emergency and shutdown activities. Performs other duties as required.
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Education and Experience
- Programming PLC
- Equipment Interface with Building Systems
- VFD programing/setup
- HVAC control experience desired but not required
- Sensor troubleshooting
- Analog control design
- Niagara/Talon control software desired but not required
- Familiar with Bacnet, Lon, Modbus com protocols
- Com network experience desired but not required
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies occasionally.
Reaching above the shoulder occasionally.
Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools frequently.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
Work environments include (electrical current, exposure to chemicals, electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion, open flame, working from heights, cold environment, hot environment, uneven surface, fumes).
