Position Title: Inside Sales / Customer Service
Position Summary:
Inside Sales / Customer Service personnel play a key role for the Company in this position, providing support and exceptional service to the customers. This position is responsible for ensuring that the customer requirements and expectations are being met in accordance with each customer’s expectation and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the customer accounts to which assigned, as well as performing as backup to other customer accounts assigned to other associates, when needed. Personnel must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers, and must always present themselves in a friendly, courteous manner with the highest level of professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for processing customer quotes, orders, credits, repairs, vendor purchase orders, vendor returns, and expediting in an accurate and timely manner
Must be able to build and maintain customer relationships
Answer product and service questions
Manage large amounts of emails and some incoming calls
Must be able to work as a team with outside sales to help identify and source items requested by customer (turn-key quotes)
Accurately complete new stock item request forms
Assist or generate and supply reports for salesman or customers
Work with other Customer Service Representatives as a team player, assisting in back up rotations and customer service projects as assigned
Assist in the training of other Customer Service Representatives
Understand how to review Daily reports and must know how to identify and correct any errors found
Work with other departments within the company to resolve questions or issues promptly
Meet with vendors and customers as needed
Conduct sales calls with salespeople when necessary
View and understand stock item history
Create and manage sales pricing libraries
Print replacement cards and labels for Kanban accounts when necessary
Troubleshoot customer problems and assist in a solution or resolution
Work with Company personnel to identify and document cost savings for the customer when required.
Identify when a new vendor needs to be setup and accurately complete a new vendor form
Use Internet resources to assist with sourcing
Provide back-up support to Account Managers when necessary
Customize items for use for specific customers
Position Requirements:
Must have high school diploma or GED and equivalent experience in inside sales / customer service in distribution or a related field.
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Company personnel, including management
Must be customer focused and work well within a Team environment to support customers
Must have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, a general computer proficiency, and general office equipment skills.
Must have excellent problem-solving capabilities
Sales experience in distribution or a related field.
Must have adaptability and be able to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers, vendors, and Company personnel
Must have high level of organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Maintain and grow product and market knowledge
