Summary
Phoenix3 Holdings is looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant (Part-Time) who understands and has worked in the hospitality industry and is comfortable in a startup environment. The Senior Accountant will work directly with the CFO to support the acceleration of differentiated hospitality and distributive services portfolio companies, working alongside top industry leaders.
For this role, we are looking for someone who can be agile and take on a variety of tasks including AP, AR, cash management, monthly closing, and setting up new processes. This role will also work with finance, sales and IT departments on software implementations such as ERP and CRM.
This role is onsite in Waltham, MA. The office provides ample free parking and is convenient to all major highways.
Experience with Intacct ERP and multi-location and multi-entity companies are a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Review and process vendor invoices including setting up new vendors in the bank and accounting system
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursements
- Drive month-end closing entries and account reconciliations
- Review, reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts monthly to assure accurate financial statements
- Prepare cash transactions such as wires, ACH and transfers
- Monthly analysis of inventory
- Develop and analyze appropriate costing based on financial data
- Prepare and maintain monthly KPI’s
- Prepare and send customer invoices, ensuring timely invoicing and payments
- Oversee cash receipts and research any disputes
- Month-end assistance including account reconciliations
- Support software implementations such as ERP and CRM
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience
- Hospitality/distributive services accounting experience a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Strong MS Excel skills and able to manipulate/understand large amounts of data
- Proficient in accounting computer software (Sage Intacct a plus!)
- Knowledge of sales tax process a plus
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, customers, and vendors
- Effective oral and written communication, administrative, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment
