**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely payment from customers.
**Duties:**
- Perform accounts receivable tasks, including processing and posting customer payments, managing cash receipts, and verifying transactions.
- Analyze and review financial data, including debits and credits, to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Utilize financial software, such as QuickBooks, to process transactions and generate reports.
- Perform data entry tasks, including updating customer information and maintaining a detailed record of customer communications.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Conduct account analysis to identify trends and potential issues, and develop strategies to address these issues.
- Stay current with changing laws and regulations related to accounts receivable and governmental accounting.
**Requirements:**
- Proficiency in accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Experience with financial software, including QuickBooks.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify potential issues.
- Strong math skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
