Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receptionist duties; answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, processing patient paperwork, responding to patient contact lens order inquiries. Excellent communication skills a must.
- Computer proficiency in basic applications, including Microsoft Office, is preferred. Familiarity with medical billing and insurance a plus, but not required.
- Responsible for determining patient insurance eligibility, processing of insurance claims, and explanation of payment options and insurance coverage to patients.
- Patient intake; measuring of IOP (intra-ocular pressure), lensometry, and auto-refraction. Experience in optometry or ophthalmology a plus, but not required.
- Determination of patient medical history, current medications, and reason for current visit. Must be comfortable with communication and one-on-one interaction with patients on a daily basis.
- Patient training; will be required to train patients new to contact lenses on wear and insertion/removal of contact lenses.
- General houskeeping tasks, such as cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, and daily maintenance of imaging and refractory machinery.
- As previously stated, experience in the fields of optometry or ophthalmology are a plus, but we are willing to train the right person!

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
