We are seeking to add a skilled and experienced Garden Associate to our team. Please be sure that you have some experience gardening, not mowing lawns, but gardening, have your own vehicle and are able to fully read the job description and respond with a full cover letter. We are willing to train but want all people to have some experience. As a Garden Associate, you will be working within a small, mobile and highly independent team. The primary focus of each team is to visit a handful of residential and commercial properties assigned each day, and tend to a variety of tasks as necessary. Spring, Summer and Fall work varies greatly, however, each applicant must have their own vehicle, no exceptions. We like to enjoy ourselves and each day, however, we are very professional and take our landscape management responsibilities very seriously. If you enjoy gardening and have experience gardening, have your own vehicle and enjoy working with others, we would love to hear from you.
Some Responsibilities Include:
- Cutting, Edging and Trimming Garden Beds
- Trimming Bushes, Hedges and Small Trees Using Handheld Trimmers and Saws.
- Using Leaf Blowers to Eliminate Debris or Gather for Mulching or Removal.
- Collect Unwanted Debris for Removal and General Clean Up.
- Control Weeds in Landscape Beds and Hardscape.
- Installation of Landscape Materials = Plants & Flowers, Mulch & Rock, etc.
- Understanding and Following Directions and Keeping Good Communication with Other Crew Members.
- Working Safety and Efficiently While Keeping Pace with the Crew.
- Reporting Equipment Problems for Repair.
Qualifications Include:
- Prior Experience in Garden & Landscape Maintenance Required
- Must Be Dependable, Motivated and Able to Work at least 3 days - Monday Through Friday.
- Must Have Reliable Transportation To and From Warehouse in Coral Springs.
- Must Be Able to Lift Up to 50 Pounds, Bend Stand and Walk for Extended Periods.
- Must Enjoy Working Outdoors in All Weather Conditions.
- Drivers Must Have a Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record.
- Willing to Train Select Individuals.
- Pay Based on Position and Level of Experience. $20.00 to $25.00 Per Hour
Interviews will begin Wednesday 3/27, April 1-5 will be start dates.
