Applebury Behavior Associates was established in 2017 by Dr. Carolynda Applebury with the goal of improving the lives of the children and families we serve. We provide teaching and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in homes, clinics, and communities to create meaningful learning opportunities for children to achieve their full potential. We take pride in working with our families and a team of professionals to address each child's unique and diverse needs.
Our mission is to offer ABA services to those in need. Our team comprises of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Behavioral Therapists (BTs) who work closely with families and children to create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each child's specific needs and goals. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join Applebury Behavior Associates. The Behavior Technician will work with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Collect data on observable client behavior
- Assist in the development of treatment goals and objectives
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy to clients
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support client progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues
- Comfortable working with medical documentation and records
Preferred:
- Certified Registered Behavioral Technician
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech and Language Pathology, or another related field
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working with children
- Familiarity with patient assessment procedures
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices
- Ability to follow medical protocols for administering medications
