The Play Base is seeking a passionate School Behavior Consultant to join our team and revolutionize ABA therapy for students.
In this role, you will:
- Develop practical systems and strategies to empower teachers in supporting students' behavioral, developmental, and educational goals.
- Provide expert consultation to teachers on best practices in classroom management and effective instructional strategies.
- Craft personalized behavior intervention plans and action plans to address individual student needs.
- Lead and actively participate in meetings with school staff to collaboratively discuss student progress and success strategies.
- Offer valuable training and professional development opportunities for teachers and teacher assistants.
- Leverage your expertise as a behavior consultant in team meetings and collaborate effectively with school administration.
- Create and implement a fun and engaging mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional regulation program for all classrooms.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This could include experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), a seasoned Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), a Lead RBT, or a Student Analyst who hasn't yet taken the board exam.
- Champions a play-based, child-led, and child-centered approach to ABA therapy.
- Is a passionate advocate for students' needs and thrives in building strong, collaborative relationships with teachers, staff, and administrators.
- Possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You can confidently explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way.
- Is open, approachable, and enjoys interacting with all levels of staff and students.
- Proficient in using technology, including Google Workspace for creating documents, presentations, and reports.
