Position Overview: As the Leisure Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving leisure sales and revenue growth at The Preserve Resort & Spa by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to attract individual leisure travelers, groups, and leisure-oriented segments. Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will identify opportunities to promote the resort's unique offerings, cultivate relationships with key leisure travel partners, and deliver exceptional service to guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay at America's Finest Sporting Resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive leisure sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets for individual leisure travelers, leisure groups, and leisure-oriented segments.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with leisure travel partners, including travel agencies, tour operators, online travel agencies (OTAs), consortia, and other leisure-focused channels, to generate bookings and increase market share.
- Conduct regular market analysis and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning, and use insights to inform sales strategies and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling sales collateral, promotional materials, and packages to showcase the resort's amenities, activities, and experiences to leisure travelers.
- Proactively prospect and qualify leads, respond to inquiries, and negotiate contracts and rates to secure leisure group bookings, corporate retreats, and special events.
- Coordinate site inspections, familiarization trips, and client entertainment activities to showcase the resort's facilities and services and build relationships with prospective clients and partners.
- Provide exceptional service and support to leisure guests throughout the booking process, from initial inquiry to post-stay follow-up, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
- Work closely with other departments, including reservations, guest services, and operations, to ensure accurate communication of leisure bookings and guest preferences, and facilitate smooth guest experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts using the resort's customer relationship management (CRM) system and sales reporting tools.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities in leisure travel, and share insights and recommendations with the sales and marketing team to optimize sales strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales roles within the hospitality industry, with a focus on leisure sales, group sales, or leisure travel management.
- Proven track record of success in driving leisure sales and revenue growth, with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong network of relationships with leisure travel partners, including travel agencies, tour operators, consortia, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and close sales opportunities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset, capable of identifying opportunities, developing sales strategies, and executing tactical plans to achieve business objectives.
- Proficiency in sales and CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools and technologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
