Job Overview:
The primary role of the Business Development Position is to prospect for new clients by networking, emailing, social media, calling and/or other means of generating interest. In addition, you will be responsible for nurturing relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by developing key strategic initiatives and building strong relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets
- Oversee project management of business development initiatives
- Manage customer relationship management (CRM) software effectively
- Drive sales growth through effective business development strategies
- Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will invite potential clients to do business with Proficient Engineering. Work with team to develop approaches that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Develop rapport and build relationships with potential clients using a variety of outreach methods (cold call, phone calls, emails, personal visits, entertainment/meals, etc.).
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and Proficient Engineering’s Principals.
- Participate in relevant conferences, association meetings, industry functions, networking/leads exchange events to generate leads and establish awareness of Proficient Engineering’s presence.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in revenue.
Experience:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency in CRM software and project management tools
- Individual must be self-motivated, organized, positive and outgoing
