About Rare Disease Research:

Responsibilities:
- Smiles and greets all visitors
- Responds to the Ring doorbells
- Turns on the TV and music upon arrival at work
- Gets acquainted with the patients and their caregivers/families
- Answers incoming calls and directs calls to the appropriate site staff member
- Helps direct guests who enter the building
- Manages shipping process with vendors to ensure collected specimens are picked up for shipment in the timeframe directed by study protocol, including printing study shipping labels when necessary
- Maintains cleanliness of the lobby and waiting areas
- Maintains the coffee and snack station in the lobby
- Assists with laundry, when needed
- Assists staff in the clinic area, when necessary
- Assists in school excuse/work excuse forms when requested
- Helps with study-related food delivery, setup, and clean-up
- Manages Schedule RDR email and calendar
- Emails daily reminders to staff to update and review their calendar for the next day
- Helps disassemble lab kits for disposal
- Records lab kit destruction and provides documentation to study coordinators
- Manages office supply ordering process through the Google Supply Request Form Dashboard
- Assists Human Resources with coordinating interview process
- Manages monthly celebrations
- Assists Leadership team with administrative support needs

Requirements:
- HS Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years experience in an administrative role, medical setting experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and computer
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when interacting with patients, their families and vendors
- Please note that due to the immunocompromised nature of the patients we serve, COVID and annual flu vaccinations are required.
