Job Description
We are seeking an Executive Director to lead the operations of MedFleet, LLC towards continued growth and success. The ideal candidate should possess strong acumen for sales and marketing, strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, be a self-starter, have strong negotiation skills, have experience with contracts, and demonstrate a track record of leadership roles. Roles and Responsibilities
Setting Strategy: Developing and articulating the company's long-term strategic goals, including identifying opportunities for growth, expansion into new markets, and diversification of services.
Leadership and Management: Providing strong leadership and direction to the executive team and employees, fostering a positive organizational culture, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission and values.
Financial Management: Overseeing the company's financial health and performance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management of financial risks.
Business Development and Client Relations: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the healthcare industry, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Operational Oversight: Monitoring and optimizing the company's operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Risk Management and Compliance: Assessing and mitigating risks related to regulatory compliance, data security, and operational challenges, and ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations, including those governing medical transportation and patient privacy.
Technology and Innovation: Staying abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in logistics, transportation, and healthcare, and leveraging innovation to improve service quality, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Human Resources and Talent Management: Attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, establishing effective human resource policies and practices, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
Stakeholder Communication: Representing the company to external stakeholders, including investors, regulatory agencies, industry associations, and the media, and maintaining open lines of communication to build trust and transparency.
Crisis Management and Decision-Making: Responding effectively to crises, emergencies, and unexpected challenges, making timely and informed decisions to mitigate risks and protect the company's reputation and interests.
Continuous Improvement and Performance Evaluation: Monitoring key performance indicators, conducting regular performance reviews, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Overseeing quality assurance programs to ensure that all transportation processes adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This includes maintaining certifications, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions when necessary to uphold service quality and compliance.
Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances with other healthcare organizations, laboratories, medical facilities, or technology providers to enhance service offerings, expand market reach, and drive growth.
Regulatory Advocacy and Policy Influence: Representing the company's interests in regulatory matters and advocating for policies that support the interests of the medical courier industry. This may involve engaging with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and policymakers to shape legislation and regulations affecting medical transportation.
Community Engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility: Engaging with local communities and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and contribute to the well-being of the communities served. This may include supporting charitable initiatives, participating in community events, and promoting environmental sustainability efforts.
Brand Management and Marketing Strategy: Overseeing the development and implementation of brand management strategies and marketing campaigns to promote the company's brand, differentiate its services, and attract new customers. This includes managing digital marketing efforts, advertising, and public relations activities.
Skill and Experience Requirements
Sales: The ideal candidate should have a strong acumen for sales and marketing. Must be energetic and willing to travel. Candidate must be capable of attending trade shows, conferences, networking events, organizing community events, and participating in various activities that help engage with current and potential clients. Sales experience is a plus.
Industry Knowledge (Transportation, Health): Understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulations, compliance requirements, and logistics challenges specific to medical transportation. Candidate must be experienced in transportation or courier services. Industry knowledge/experience is a plus.
Leadership & Management Skills: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, set a clear vision, and drive performance.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop and execute long-term business strategies to drive growth and profitability in a competitive market.
Operational Excellence: Strong operational management skills to optimize processes, streamline logistics, and ensure efficient delivery of medical specimens and supplies.
Financial Management: Must be proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to maintain financial health and make informed business decisions.

Educational Requirements
Degree: Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. A master’s degree in any of the following fields will be an advantage - Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Master of Science (MS) in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Industry-specific Certifications: Must possess relevant industry certification(s). Certifications from the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (ASTL) or the Healthcare Logistics Certification Program (HLCP) will be an advantage.
