PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGIST/ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER – SPRINGFIELD, IL
American Environmental is seeking a professional with experience performing and managing environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and directing subsurface soil and groundwater investigations and remediation.
- Experience in preparing plans, budgets, and proposals.
- Prior consulting, LUST, and business development experience
- Data interpretation
- Technical Report writing
- Travel to project sites throughout Illinois
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements
- BS degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or other related technical field
- 2-6 years related work experience
- Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with the ability/desire to lead tasks
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply State and Federal technical guidance and regulations
- Must complete employment physical demonstrating ability to meet job requirements
- Must pass drug test, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record
- Must have a valid and current Driver's License
- Understanding Illinois environmental regulations is a plus
Preferred
- Professional licensure in State of Illinois, or ability to become licensed quickly
