Responsibilities:
The role of the IT Ministry Systems and Data Analyst will coordinate, provide guidance, and consult on the management of data going into Rock RMS and the reporting of the Rock data to ministry areas.
Database management/analytics and reporting: Develop and run system reports to support business reporting needs of the leadership and the finance team which includes, but not limited to:
· Expert resource and manage our church management system, Rock RMS, in partnership with ministries and external resources.
· Collaborate with ministry and leadership team members to manage/create new processes and efficient technical solutions.
· Coordinate and implementation, testing, training and communication efforts across multiple ministry groups.
· Leverage relational data competencies to create dashboards and related data queries to support teams and administrative leadership effectively understand progress toward stated goals.
· Structure large data sets and assess usable data views for mailings to Rock database, general group, and activity reporting; assist in the pulling and analyzing data to help with decisions and supporting programs and activities.
· Identify common requests/needs and develop standard reports to meet those ongoing needs.
· Availability for support during critical church initiatives, events and activities (may include some evenings and weekends).
Other Responsibilities include:
· This is a business-facing and technology-facing requiring excellent communication skills and organizational skills to create alignment amongst multiple ministries and processes.
· Stay abreast of trends, manage vendor and partner with any other third-party service provider(s) to integrate tools where necessary.
· Primary partner with 9Embers (Rock consultant) for management and funneling of issues that require deep technical expertise.
Requirements:
· Preferred church work experience and ability to expand learning of our church managing systems, ROCK RMS.
· Up to 5 years or more IT experience and IT related college degree preferred.
· Demonstrated technical competencies in data, structures, query and management
· Experience with SQL environments and expertise required to manage data.
· Ability to understand technology, ask targeted questions, and clearly communicate and educate system users in a user-friendly language.
· Team oriented and comfortable working with and assisting others.
· Highly self-motivated and directed, with systems programming expertise and ability to learn complex tools.
· Process oriented, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Project management experience and the ability to multitask across competing priorities.
· Organize and effective communicator with ability to take complex concepts and simply communicate them to customers.
