About our practice:
HBOT of NOVA is a robust, multifaceted health care practice located on the Reston Hospital grounds in Reston, VA. At our practice, we treat various health issues, such as cognitive disorders and neuropathology’s including stroke, post traumatic disorders, traumatic brain injuries, memory disorders, and many others. Our treatment regimen includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), neurofeedback, neuropsychological testing, and IV infusions. Our team is passionate about improving our patient’s quality of life by developing customized treatment plans tailored to individual needs and desires. This is accomplished by utilizing various modalities, encapsulating a “one stop shop,” platform within our office.
Job opportunity: We are seeking to add a full-time experienced hyperbaric technician to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient preparation for treatments
- Reinforce hyperbaric therapy education
- Keep complete and accurate patient treatment records
- Perform hyperbaric chamber operations and systems maintenance
- Participate in the safety program
- Maintain competencies, continuing education, and certifications
- Utilize data software for wound management
- Make appropriate entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Completion of the appropriate program or certification in one of the following vocations:
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- EMT: basic or paramedic 2-5 Years
- Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) 2-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to be finger printed
Preferred Qualifications
- Hyperbaric Training Course as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT)
- Clinical experience.
