has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Budget Analyst (OPA 4) to join an excellent team. This is a Full-Time, Permanent, Management Services-Managerial position with the Fiscal and Operations Division.
The AA Salary Range for this position is between $6,901.00 to $10,161.00 per month.
What you will do!
This position advises and does large-scale budget work for the OHA Budget Director and OHA Deputy Budget Director by developing, tracking and managing the OHA budget, which in nature is largely complex. This position acts as an extension of the OHA Budget Director and OHA Deputy Budget Director by acting as a high-level budget and policy adviser to OHA leadership.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be performing a wide range of project management and budget analysis activities, including:
Researching, analyzing, and coordinating budget and finance issues.
Providing recommendations that address both budget and policy perspectives.
Writing and revising official budget documents, presentations, and displays.
Providing direction to budget staff and division leadership on budget development activities.
These activities will require thorough knowledge of state budgeting and financial processes and the ability to communicate complex information in a way that is easy to understand.

What we are looking for:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
OR;
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

Experience using independent judgement to provide recommendations and advice on complex policy or budget topics that balances competing priorities

Experience with state budgetary processes or other related experience

Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
