THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDING IN OR NEAR THE BUTTE, MT AREA. The Systems and Network Analyst will provide comprehensive IT support, ensuring efficient and effective IT operations within our mining facility. The role requires technical proficiency in network and system administration, combined with strong communication skills to proactively assist and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, proactive, and comfortable working in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support: Provide support troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Network Configuration: Perform VLAN changes on interfaces and manage network configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct Layer 1 through Layer 3 troubleshooting to identify and resolve network and system issues.
- Network Tools: Utilize a toner for network troubleshooting to trace and verify network cabling.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain, monitor, and support IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and other network equipment.
- System Management: Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of IT systems and applications.
- Team Collaboration: Proactively check in with various teams to understand and address their IT needs.
- Documentation: Document and maintain accurate records of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the IT team to implement improvements and upgrades to network and systems.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, particularly regarding IT security and safety standards.
- End-User Support: Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their IT skills and knowledge.
- Safety Protocols: Work comfortably in an industrial environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in network and system administration.
- Proficiency in VLAN configuration and network troubleshooting (Layer 1 through Layer 3).
- Experience using a toner for network cabling troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Outgoing and proactive personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in an industrial setting, including adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA) are a plus.
