Herrington the Bay is hiring for our creative and dynamic sales team comprised of people who are high energy, detail-oriented, hospitable and welcoming! The Wedding & Special Event Sales Consultant will meet with potential wedding couples and other clients, listen to their needs, lead tours at our luxury, all-inclusive, waterfront wedding venue located on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, create an initial cost proposal and develop ideas for their perfect day,
Responsibilities:
Sales Rockstar
- Client Relationship Building:
- Proactively build relationships with potential clients through targeted outreach and networking initiatives.
- Identify and qualify leads, converting inquiries into successful event bookings.
- Sales Pipeline Management:
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively, scheduling and conducting impactful appointments with potential clients and couples.
- Goal Alignment:
- Support Sales Department’s annual goals aligned with company objectives.
The Art of the Deal:
- Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts confidently, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for clients and Herrington on the Bay.
- Market Insights:
- Utilize data analysis skills to understand market trends and identify new revenue opportunities.

- Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment, fostering open communication and knowledge sharing.

Are You the Perfect Fit?
- Proven success in a sales or related field, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building rapport with a diverse clientele.
- Passion for the event industry and a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Perform other responsibilities identified by the Director of Sales and Marketing, Owner, General Manager and Leadership Team.
Details:
College Education preferred
3-5 years previous catering sales and/or hospitality/luxury sales background.
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Strong selling and interpersonal skills
Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular and routine basis
