Pro-Traxx, a leading provider of railroad flaw detection, is seeking a skilled ultrasonic testing technician to join our team as Chief Operator. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who love to travel and are passionate about ensuring the safety and efficiency of railroad operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain rail flaw detection equipment to identify defects in railroad tracks.
- Conduct thorough examinations of railroad tracks using ultrasonic testing techniques.
- Perform all functions of flaw detection processes, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout testing procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of examination results and equipment maintenance activities.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest testing techniques and equipment.
- Communicate with clients regarding job objectives
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining rail flaw detection equipment.
- Valid Drivers License (CDL would be considered an asset)
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and travel as needed.
- Passport or dual citizenship would be considered an asset.
- Experience in railroad industry is considered an asset.
- Computer proficiency would be considered an asset.

Work Environment:
- Travelling to client locations from coast to coast.
- Outdoor work year-round.
- Shifts between 8-12 hours.
- Lift and carry up to 30lbs.
