Position Summary
As a leader at Sidco Filter, the Plant Manager will provide overall leadership and direction for the manufacturing of filters and the production team. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic goals and objectives of manufacturing operations for the company.
Principal Job Functions
Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility.
Inspirational Leadership and Team Development: Cultivate a culture of inspiration, inclusivity, and collaboration within the manufacturing team, by building and retaining a strong team.
Resources & Supply Chain: Manage and allocate resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to optimize production and meet production targets.
Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards and that quality control processes are in place and effective.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing safety protocols, according to OSHA standards.
Cost Control: Monitor and control production costs to ensure that the manufacturing process remains cost-effective and efficient.
Team Management: Lead and manage a team of managers and supervisors, including production managers, quality control managers, engineering and others.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles or other methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Engineering: Recommend, Develop, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations, such as supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, and market fluctuations.
Technology Adoption: Stay current with technological advancements in manufacturing and assess potential benefits to the company.
Facilities: Oversee the facilities and structure of 2 sites and develop opportunities to optimize and consolidate production processes.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelors's degree in related field, preferably business or engineering.
- Minimum 15 years work experience in manufacturing setting with minimum of 5 years with management responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills
- Manufacturing and/or mechanical background
- Ability to perform complex math calculations
- Operate computer systems
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience working with quality and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
