Seres Engineering & Services, LLC (SERES) is an environmental consulting, engineering, and remediation firm headquartered in Charleston, SC. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (with an Engineering Geology, or Science degree) to join our team in Massachusetts. The selected candidate will manage environmental investigation, long-term monitoring, and/or remediation projects or tasks under contracts held with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other US Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. This position requires strong communication and writing skills and experience interfacing with clients and regulators. This position also requires a detail-oriented team player who is committed to delivering quality work products on schedule. This is a home-based position and candidate must be within New England or NY with preference given for Massachusetts residency. This position will require occasional travel for site visits, client meetings, and regulatory meetings.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage projects or task management on large projects/contracts to include planning and delegating assignments to project team; monitoring and managing scope, schedule, budgets, and quality; and performing administrative functions of project management such as forecasting, managing subcontractors, and invoicing.
- Serve as primary point of contact with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies on managed projects.
- Manage multiple project schedules with competing deadlines and fixed-price constraints.
- Mentor and/or supervise junior or project-level staff.
- Lead and/or oversee development of complex written technical reports (e.g., UFP-QAPPs, RI Reports, FS Reports, Annual Groundwater Monitoring Reports, RODs, etc.) with the ability to direct and mentor junior and project-level staff during the interpretation of data and preparation of technical reports.
- Lead and/or oversee environmental field investigations and remediation in accordance with approved work plan plans.
- Oversee and work productively with subcontractors while assuring work scopes and safety requirements are met.
- Lead and/or oversee preparation of technical proposals and cost development.
- Provide technical support on projects or proposals throughout the company related to the selected candidate’s technical discipline.
Position requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline with professional registration in their related field.
- At least 10 years’ relevant Project Management experience required.
- DoD experience required, with preference given for USACE experience.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to travel, as needed, to attend meetings and conduct site visits.
- Ability to pass a background check in order to access military bases.
