Title: Process Engineer
Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Schedule: Full-time, 8am to 5pm, Mon-Fri

Position Summary: As a Process Engineer, you will provide technical support to the operations team to ensure production goals are met. You will ensure productivity improvements are made across safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. In this pivotal role you will use strong statistical, analytical, and decision-making skills while operating with a sense of urgency. This role also involves working with other members in the organization, and mentoring others on new equipment and/or processes. This role will also identify, scope, and execute technical projects to support the production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Possess a strong sense of ownership and are accountable for the success and failure of their assigned unit.
- Show courageous leadership by coaching, asking questions, and intervening when needed. Challenge the status quo and past norms to make the operation more effective and safer.
- Maintain a safe environment and support process improvements related to safety, and ergonomics.
- Assist with the creation, implementation, review, and training of the Quality Management Systems and other related standards/processes such as AIB and NSF to deliver superior quality.
- Evaluate and review of existing and design of new manufacturing equipment and processes to validate improvement process capabilities.
- Review current product design and implement improvements across the operations.
- Evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes.
- Review, revise, and draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), including work instructions and process documents and keeps a strong field presence to reinforce the importance.
- Train operators, supervisors, and other employees in new equipment and/or new processes.
- Trouble shoot and problem solve production floor processes through review of manufacturing documentation to escalate issues relating to processes on the shop floor.
- Earn respect and trust of operations team because of their great problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Acts as the technical expert responsible for resolving equipment based or repair technique-based issues, which impact the availability and maintainability of the facility.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Diagnoses and documents cause analysis and implement corrective actions and support CAPA Activities.
- Support the operations in leading the cost and productivity site wide initiatives and provide cost reduction/ productivity improvements through the support of continuous improvement projects or automation.
- Identify metrics and management systems to drive optimization of plant value/EBITDA by all of operations (operators, maintenance, etc.).
- Conduct daily review the plant operation and stay engaged with daily activities. Maintain, own, and review daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/trends to ensure optimum performance.
- Provide leadership, expertise, diagnosis, and optimization in plant Raw Material Efficiency, which may include yield or waste generation.
- Identify, scope, and execute technical projects to support the production goals.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities

Education and Experience:
- B.S. Degree in an Engineering or experience in related discipline.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem solving (i.e. fishbone, 5Why’s), Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint and preferably have technical writing experience (SOPs, work instructions, safety documents)
- Must possess a high degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to work with others.
