We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Front Office Assistant and PT Tech.
We are an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy facility and need another team member to assist us with front desk and insurance duties as well as assist our PT's during daily treatments with patients.
Front Office Assistant Responsibilities:
- Greet patients both on the phone and in person in a positive, professional manner.
- Manage the phone / email including taking / sending messages for the PT's, relaying information between MD's, MA's, patients and the corresponding PT with clear communication and appropriately document in the EMR in a timely manner.
- Manage the fax system which includes new referrals and uploading documents to the EMR.
- Manage the schedule for the day with patients' appointments. Demonstrate an ability to understand the different appointment types, scheduling new patients / follow up visits, cancellations vs. no shows, utilizing the cancellation list, etc.
- Demonstrate an understanding / knowledge of the different types of insurance, copays, coinsurance, deductibles, Medicare, etc to be able to discuss with patients.
- Demonstrate an ability to verify patients' insurance benefits and relay that information to the patient in a clear manner they can understand.
- Collect copays, deductibles, etc. up front at appointments with an ability to handle different payment methods.
- Manage all patient paperwork in relation to our EMR system.
- Demonstrate flexibility in day to day tasks / schedule.
- Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Physical Therapy Tech Responsibilities:
All training would be done by the supervising PT's and includes, but is not limited to:
- Preparing treatment areas, modalities, machines
- Maintaining a clean gym environment
- Assisting with patients under the direct supervision of the physical therapist

Pay: $21.00 per hour
