What you will do
The Portfolio Leader, Digital Fire Offerings will play a key role within the Global Lifecycle Solutions team by leading digital service initiatives that solve unmet needs for customers while generating profitable service growth opportunities for JCI. Primary responsibilities will be to own the rollout of connected fire panels and development + commercialization of connected sprinkler offerings. Working within a heavily matrixed organization, you will quarterback the efforts to define our future state (leaning heavily on voice of customer) and work amongst the cross-functional teams to influence and lead the successful rollout and adoption of these programs. You will also heavily influence the development of these solutions by interfacing directly with our engineering teams.
How you will do it
Create business case(s) in relation to projects and/or backlog
Influencing the market requirements for product development efforts and steering these efforts through ongoing support to PI planning goals and Engineering sprint reviews. Negotiating product backlog & dependencies with other teams (internal + external) when necessary.
Driving the milestone process (RCLP) & securing business buy in throughout the development and deployment of your initiatives
Defining and scaling proposed service delivery models through various install & service resources
Partnering with Product Marketing resources to build and maintain the customer facing collateral that will support the program – serve as the SME to represent the voice of customer during this process
Partner with the Commercial team to define GTM motions & associated measurement KPIs. Evangelize the product offering with front line sellers, sales enablement resources, and customers
Represent the product line in business reviews, monitor performance and drive continuous improvements & enablement throughout the product lifecycle.
What we look for
Required
Minimum of (10) years total experience and (5) years within the Fire industry
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Will consider various functional experiences, to include Product Management, Portfolio Management, Change Management, Commercial Sales Roles, Marketing, and Offer Development
A hands-on style, adept at public speaking, negotiation, influencing, and customer-facing presentations.
Ability to provide leadership without direct reporting structure
Comfort and experience with presenting “upward” within the organization to manage expectations and maintain focus on your initiatives
Resilient in the face of change, ability to adapt and learn on your feet
This role will be 100% remote but is expected to be located within the United States. Candidates may choose to work out of any regional JCI office or from their home office at their discretion.
Ability to travel to up 25% for customer meetings, trade shows, and other company events.
