We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to join our team. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Center Director to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our childcare facility. This position requires strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Assist the Center Director in overseeing daily operations and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Recruit, train, and supervise teaching staff and support personnel.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and communicating center policies.
- Plan and coordinate parent involvement activities and events.
- Represent the center in the community and participate in outreach efforts.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment for children, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage facility maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Previous experience in a leadership role in a childcare center or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood education standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and problem-solve effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of social workers in providing support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance the well-being of clients and promote their independence.
- Manage budgets effectively to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and advocate for clients' needs.
- Utilize administrative skills to oversee program operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Incorporate behavioral health strategies into programs to support clients' mental and emotional well-being.

- Supervising experience in a social work setting
- Management skills with a focus on program development
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong relationship management abilities
- Administrative experience, including program management
- Proficiency in budgeting and knowledge of behavioral health

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
