Editorial Manager
Working within a collaborative team, the Editorial Manager will manage the editorial process from concept to publication, of all content, digital and print, including five (5) e-newsletters, other editorial products, and promotional materials, ensuring that the content aligns with the organization's standards, goals, and audience expectations. The Editorial Manager role is a strategic mix of editorial work and quality control, producing compelling and accurate material that resonates with NVAR’s membership and other target audiences.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports directly to the Director of Communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Writes, edits, and proofreads all editorial content
- Coordinates production of e-newsletters, promotional emails, and social media posts
- Oversees the editing process to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all content ‘
- Collaborates with other departments to align content with broader business goals
- Maintains editorial standards and guidelines
- Conducts regular content reviews and audits to assess quality and effectiveness
- Coordinates reviews, as necessary, with appropriate content owners in an organized and timely approach
- Special projects as needed; other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on English, Communications, or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years editorial experience required
- Demonstrated project management
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail imperative
- Strong proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading
- Flexible, upbeat attitude and ability to work on multiple tasks with various members of staff and association volunteers
- Team player with ability to work collaboratively across organizational functional areas
