Good Shepherd in Mason City, IA is an all-encompassing senior living community. We are currently looking for a someone with a passion for improving quality in a health care service facility and to make a difference in preventing and controlling infections. This person would be responsible for the following:
· Develop, implement, and monitor the quality improvement plan and the infection prevention and control plan for the nursing home.
· Conduct audits, surveys, and data analysis to identify areas of improvement and risk reduction.
· Coordinate and facilitate quality improvement and infection prevention and control activities, such as root cause analysis, action plans, education, and training.
· Report and communicate the results and recommendations of the quality improvement and infection prevention and control programs to the management, staff, residents, and families.
· Collaborate with the medical director, nursing director, and other department heads to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.
· Act as a resource and liaison for the nursing home on quality improvement and infection prevention and control issues.
· Stay updated on the current trends, evidence, and regulations related to quality improvement and infection prevention and control in long-term care settings.
· Monitor psychiatric rounds and medication regimens.
Must have an RN degree to qualify.
