Description:
The Project Engineer assists the Superintendents and Project Managers in field work support, estimating, procurement, preparing reports, subcontracts, and providing overall support in every aspect of each project. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are a must.
Skills & Experience
- Construction/Civil Engineering, Architecture or Project Management degrees preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of construction procedures, building systems and tools
- Ability to solve problems and work under pressure
- Knowledgeable at reading plans, shop drawings and specifications
- Excellent math and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with workers and trades.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam, and Procore
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- 10 years experience as a practicing engineer.
- 5 years experience as a Project Engineer.
- 3 years experience with process plant piping systems and equipment.
- Experienced with the development of process plant drawings such as P&ID’s, piping and equipment layouts, Piping Isometrics.
- Competent in ACAD drafting.
- Working knowledge of common process industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Some travel required.
- Physically capable of walking and climbing required when visiting construction jobsites.
Preferred:
- Competent in 3D ACAD drafting; Inventor, Plant 3D
- Competent in MS Projects Scheduling
- Additional experience with process plants.
