The Assistant Director will help manage the day-to-day operation of the before and after-school programs, school vacation camps, and six-week licensed summer programs. The Assistant Director is under the general direction of the Milton Community Schools Director and is responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of curricula, assessments, and completion of improvement plans. The Assistant Director coordinates recruiting, training, support, and direct supervision of personnel. The Assistant Director is full-time (up to 37.5 hours a week).
It operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when school is in session and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESAssists the Director with the management of the daily operations of the program in support of the policies and proceduresSupports Director with planning, implementation, and assessment of curriculum and programs that meet the diverse needs of all studentsCommunicates daily and meets monthly with site coordinators regarding curriculum plans and staff supportIn conjunction with other team members, maintain a positive, inclusive environment for both children and adults at all timesReasserts protocols and procedures to ensure student safety and security; manages and implements safety and emergency plansOversees accurate records of attendance and dismissal for all programs and sitesCollects and records data for continuous program improvementCoordinates recruiting, training, supervision, and evaluation of program personnel, including internsConfer with employees to resolve grievances and promote cooperationOrganizes and facilitates ongoing professional development for site coordinators and all program staff Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with program staff and school partnersPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Milton Community Schools Director
