Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, developing and implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and investigating incidents. This is a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, including proper equipment usage, emergency response procedures, and hazardous material handling
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Stay up-to-date with changes in occupational health and safety regulations
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics for management review
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Proven experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers compensation laws, and EPA requirements
- Strong understanding of training development principles and techniques
- Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations
- Excellent report writing skills
- CPR certification is preferred
- Ability to fabricate solutions to address safety concerns

Pay: $70,000.00 - $691,056.30 per year
