Job Summary
This position is responsible for assuring the ISO standards of Virginia Transformer Corp. ISO Coordinator include examining products, participating to products planning, monitoring production procedures, conducting internal audits, training auditors, recommending corrective actions, and providing technical advice when needed.
Supervisor Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily workflow.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Lead functional area of the company for successful business growth.
Role Responsibilities
· Assists in the ISO 9001 certification maintenance program.
· Oversee and enter all information into ISO computer database (Word, Excel, Access, information)
· Oversee the Engage Calibration database adding new equipment, deleting broken pieces and maintaining oil lab calibration/testing.
· In response to customer requirements, research and recommend to the Government the best resources and locations for providing ISO immersion training courses.
· Works with purchasing in selecting and auditing vendors or subcontractors.
· Maintain internal 5S and cleanliness audit and supports customer visits/audits.
· Maintain approved suppliers list and all related supplier documentation.
· Manages and supports supplier PPAP process
Minimum Skill/Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in ISO Lead auditing and demonstrated experience interfacing with quality system registrars is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, welding codes or governmental regulations.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval.
- Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided.
Preferred Skill/Experience Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of VTC shop and test procedures and processes.
- Experience in ISO documentation and customer inspection handling.
- Master’s Degree – Electrical Engineering or MBA.
