The successful candidate will develop their civil engineering design skills and contribute to a collaborative team on a variety of projects for both private and municipal clients. What You Bring to the CPH Team
· 0+ years of professional experience as civil engineer in either private or public-sector clients/projects
· BSCE and engineer-in-training (EIT) certification or ability to secure EIT within 6 months of hire
· Experience with the use of AutoCad Civil 3D for civil design and drafting
· Introductory design experience with site grading, storm drainage, water and sanitary sewer utilities, roadway, or related discipline for civil/site or municipal infrastructure projects
· Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling experience that includes WWHM, MGS Flood, HEC-HMS, TR-55/NRCS based software, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or others is preferred, but not required
· Good written and oral communication skills and proficient use of current Microsoft Office software
· Consistent focus on clarity, accuracy, and completeness of work product
· Local agency design and permitting experience preferred, but not required
· Use of ArcGIS preferred, but not required

Expectations and Opportunities for You
· Provide design, technical analysis, and engineering calculations for grading, drainage, utility systems, and other related site improvements as part of project team and using industry standard software tools
· Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D software for grading, storm drainage, water and sewer, and other related project elements
· Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and other communications for clients and regulatory jurisdictions
· Prepare and/or support the completion of land use entitlement documents including conceptual exhibits, code research, jurisdiction applications, and coordination of submittals
· Coordination and communication with other CPH staff, clients, and sub-consultants to complete design efforts and client deliverables
· Progressively expand and improve proficiency in design techniques and design software w/objective to obtain professional licensing
· Work directly with project engineers, project managers, and other design and project team members in a collaborative environment
