Assistant/Associate Professor of Community Practice
The Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIU-CVM) in Brookville, New York, invites applications from self-directed, innovative and motivated individuals for a full-time, clinical or tenure track faculty position in Community Practice. The successful candidate will be expected to be the course coordinator of the senior year Community Practice rotation, participate in the Animal Behavior and Welfare course, direct the LIU-CVM Canine Wellness Mobile Clinic and participate in the veterinary skills laboratories according to their availability, expertise and time. Other duties ma be assigned by their supervisor. Thus, candidates with all levels of expertise and experience are encouraged to apply. The position may be filled as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate may select either clinical or tenure track options. Successful candidates are expected to promote LIU-CVM’s overall mission of enhancing veterinary medical education through a commitment to teaching, academic excellence, research and service to a variety of stakeholders. Active engagement in curriculum development, identification or creation of innovative learning resources, committee service participation (such as admissions, curriculum, research, etc.) is expected of both clinical and tenure track faculty. All faculty are expected to contribute to the overall research and scholarly goals of the College of Veterinary Medicine as time and interest allow.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a DVM or equivalent degree. Specialty boards and advanced degrees are preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of curricular design and implementation. S/he/they will have the proven ability to promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusiveness and will interact well with University administration, the veterinary education community, faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Compensation:
