The kitchen manager will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, and controling inventory levels.
Kitchen managers have proven culinary and management experience. In addition to being an excellent communicator, one will demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities also.

Prepare for order materials, supplies, and ingredients per GM approval. Includes for example, materials, supplies, ingredients, linen, soft drinks, and linen or other items as requested.

Supervise kitchen employees by:

motivating staff by personal example and work ethic in kitchen and fostering a teamwork environment.

organizing food orders

ensuring all BOH staff adheres to all company policies and procedures

following disciplinary action as outlined in company handbook up to and including termination recommendations to GM.

Oversee the food preparation and cooking process to include:

strict adherence to recipes
-
maintenance of recipe files
-
performing quality control on all food leaving the kitchen

Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.

Control inventory levels

Perform weekly and month end inventory.

Control labor cost by scheduling work shifts for employees within budgetary guidelines outlined by GM.

Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized per ServSafe and company guidance.

Bachelors degree in Restaurant Management or certification from culinary school is a plus.

A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
