Job Title: Grants and Compliance Coordinator

Pay Rate: $42,000 year

Position Overview
Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule may be flexible as necessary to achieve program objectives, tasks, activities, responsibilities and to effectively document outcome measures and variances and may exceed 40 hours on a given week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
Works with the Grants and Compliance Director (GACD) to ensure all aspects of contract compliance are adhered to

Prepares assigned performance grant reports monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually
-
Develops and maintains grant reporting calendar and spreadsheet to ensure timely submission of required reports and information is communicated to programmatic staff

Secure and maintain clients’ files in an organized and secure fashion

Assist GACD with development and evolution of departmental processes

Works with the GACD to analyze outcomes and documentation to draw conclusions about program effectiveness and progress

Identify trends in program staff’s documentation and communicate these to the GACD

Answer 24-hour hotlines and business line calls
- Clerical tasks such as typing, copying, filing, proofreading etc.

Preparing grants for submissions

Serve as a backup for file review in times of increased workflow for other compliance staff

Complete documentation training with new-staff

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies-
Ability to adjust to documentation practices that change frequently and effectively communicate these to those that are supervised and program staff

Identify discrepancies in data in alignment with contract requirements

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

Ability to train others and assists in creation of a culture centered around learning and improvement for compliance and program staff

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to work with volunteers and provide guidance on departmental tasks

Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements-
Education requirement not required but Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a related area preferred

No experience required but 2-years’ experience working with data or databases strongly preferred

Physical exertion includes bending, pushing, standing, and walking. Must be able to move or lift approximately 40 pounds (i.e. file boxes, overhead projector, etc.)

Ability to speak clearly and distinctly

Skill in use of computer screens and manual dexterity and skill in use of keyboard

Must be able to work on a flexible schedule when needed

Must have reliable transportation and valid Texas Driver’s License
