The expected salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company. Based on the skills and experience of the candidate we may offer the job at a different job level.
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
Supports the Financial Department’s goals and objectives and contribute income to the Corporation through an audit process on policies with a variable premium base.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING

Review audits received from vendors and verify or correct the audited classes and exposures, enforcing ISO Rules where applicable.

Return the audit to the vendor for corrections.

Utilize the Premium Audit system to document auditable actions.

Review completed audits that were previously estimated and revised.

Notify Underwriting when all required information has been received to rescind non-comply.

Work with underwriting to obtain rates for added classes and/or advise of operations change.

Explain premium audits and disputed audits to agents, insured and field auditors, as necessary.

Oversee quality of all vendor audits for General Liability, Garage Liability, Liquor Liability, Excess policies.

Examine audit worksheets, policies, endorsements and inspections to verify if audit is correct, perform calculations, make corrections where needed.

Issue revisions to correct audits, as needed.

Issue Underwriting Alerts, service Underwriting Departments.

Examine and determine final earned premium for auditable policies.

Issue Premium Audit endorsements in Premium Audit System and Mainload by confirming proper deposit premium, exposure and rate is entered in systems to result in correct additional premium.
- Premium Audit Endorsements issued in Expiration order for proper time service.

Reviewing and processing audits for larger accounts and complexity

Assist with management duties as needed.

Train and educate other review and administrative staff on technical procedures and operational protocols for the department.

Resolve technical Premium Audit disputes, including discrepancies with Underwriting for class codes and rates.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Premium Audit Manager.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES INCLUDING

Ability to review vendor audits for quality and accuracy in expiration date order.

Ability to process reviewed audit utilizing Premium Audit System and Mainload.

Ability to add file audit endorsement and worksheets in Workflow

Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills.

Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Able to function in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to use various Premium Audit Industry software.

Ability to make independent decisions regarding class codes and exposures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

Required: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Premium Audit Department.

Required: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and related computer programs.

Required: Proficient with 10-key adding machines.

Preferred: Associates Degree and/or Insurance Courses.

Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others in meetings or via phone.
