Overview:
Effingham Obstetrics & Gynecology, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full time RN or LPN to join their growing team!
As an experienced practitioner, the Nurse is accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
The ideal applicant will be pleasant, dependable, patient-oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced enviornment, preferably with OBGYN experience.
Pay range for this role is $25-27/hr DOE.
Responsibilities:

Records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete

Uses a team approach to develop and achieve daily patient-centered individualized care goals.

Acknowledges and values the contributions of the patients’ significant others as an integral part of the plan of care

Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments, scheduling patient referrals or arrange hospital tests or admissions

Assists with office procedures, including administer immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; records and documents all such activities in the chart

Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.

Counsels’ patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level

Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient

Coordinates ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff

Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient

Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician

Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

State of Illinois RN or LPN License required

BLS certification
-
At least one year of working experience as Nurse (RN/LPN)

OB/GYN experience highly preferred, but not required
