Theramedic Rehab has a diverse business focusing on Outpatient Physical Therapy Facilities providing services to patients and Healthcare organizations nationwide.
The Physical Therapy Technician/ Front Desk Receptionist will join our team of dedicated Therapists in reaching the long-term goal of providing a more holistic and comprehensive rehab experience for our patients. The PT Tech is a viable member of the therapeutic rehabilitation team and will assist in department operations and delivering the best quality care possible. Candidate should be willing to perform task and duties as needed by the Physical Therapists and have knowledge of basic PT tech skills. This includes, but is not limited to, use of ultrasound and e-stim etc. Coordinating with patients, taking phone calls, scheduling, collecting copay.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in the care of patients.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
- Clean, organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
- Administer passive therapeutic exercises and modality treatments, such as ultrasound.
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of medical staff.
- Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies.
- Implement effective communication with own and other departments’ staff, medical staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high-quality service and optimal patient care.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls/emails while providing basic information accurately
- Act as liaison between staff and the patients waiting for treatments and other clinic information.
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office, and direct visitors to the appropriate personnel.

- Comfortable in handling other administrative and cleaning duties
- Knowledge of HIPAA policies and regulations
- Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations
