"Flavour Maestro" - Lead Cook of Special Flavours Food Truck
- Full-time position
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm (tentative), with a 1-hour lunch break
- Pay range: $25 – $30 per hour
- Opportunity for independent contractor status
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: Minimum 3 years in food service management, preferably in a food truck or restaurant.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Creativity: Ability to innovate and create unique menu items.

- Business Acumen: Understanding of budgeting and financial management.

Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create innovative and enticing menu items that cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences while aligning with the truck's theme.
- Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the food truck, including scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of culinary staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide training and guidance to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in food preparation and service.
- Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service at all times, resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Seek feedback from customers to continuously improve offerings and service.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase visibility for Special Flavours. Utilize social media, local events, and other channels to promote the food truck and engage with the community.
- Financial Management: Monitor financial performance and budget adherence, optimizing profitability while controlling costs. Track sales, expenses, and inventory levels to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and other partners to source high-quality ingredients and supplies at competitive prices. Collaborate with event organizers and venues to secure lucrative opportunities for Special Flavours.
- Innovation and Adaptability: Stay current with food trends, industry best practices, and customer preferences, continually seeking opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and market dynamics to maintain competitiveness and success.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Special Flavours with professionalism and enthusiasm, embodying the brand's values and commitment to exceptional food and service. Act as a brand ambassador in the community, building relationships and fostering goodwill.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, conducting regular inspections and quality checks. Implement procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
