Job Scope
The Shop Technician is relied upon to complete a variety of tasks in support of operations (located by the airport) this role will be responsible to assist with all shipping, receiving, repair and maintenance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in organizing equipment for shipment and working with operations and purchasing to coordinate transportation of equipment and materials.

Ensuring that the proper paperwork and documentation for receiving and materials transfers are completed and ensuring that equipment is being received in proper condition.

Assembling, organizing, and shipping job packages.
- Tracking inventory.

Repairing and maintaining of products.
- Loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

Continually maintain a clean and organized facility.

Daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections.
- Maintaining shop facility and its components and equipment such as but not limited to, forklift/loader, air compressors, pressure washer and crane.

Following Opla policies and procedures, completing the required safety training and working safely is of paramount importance.

Responsible for conducting and documenting the shop health and safety meetings, and work permits as required.

On call as required.
Competencies
-
Willingness to learn and ability to work well within a collaborative team.

Must have the ability to work proficiently within systems to record and update equipment services records, the tracking of receivables, and material transfers within the company’s API system.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office to enable competency in all aspects of day-to-day operations involving word documents, spreadsheets and daily communication is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Dependable and reliable with attendance.

Positive attitude, high degree of personal accountability and endless curiosity.

Self-starter.

Must always operate Opla equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Previous experience and training with loader, forklift and a crane are preferred.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
