The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining facilities, material handling, and rolling stock equipment through troubleshooting and repair of all equipment, systems, and components necessary to operate this business and the facilities in which they are installed.
What You'll Do:
· Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment including conveyors, sorters, etc. Perform preventive maintenance, document all activities, and identify service requiring outside vendors and inform supervisor
· Troubleshoot and repair rolling stock equipment including lifts, cranes, bulls, etc. Perform preventive maintenance, document all activities, and identify service requiring outside vendors and inform supervisor
· Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment including HVAC, pneumatics, water, and hydraulics
· Maintain a safe working environment
· Report possible safety concerns regarding equipment
· Clean work area and maintenance shop
· Install safety fixtures, such as netting, wire mesh cages, etc.
· Mentor Technician I and perform all the duties of the Technician I
· Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team for the facility.
· All other tasks as assigned such as maintaining company grounds, which include snow removal

What You've Done:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 5 years of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance experience in a distribution environment targeting one or more of the following: material handling equipment, powered lift equipment and facilities
· Strong diagnostic skills of powered lift equipment electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
· 2 years actively performing preventive maintenance on material handling equipment
· Vocational training or technical certification in a relevant area preferred
· Knowledge of electrical applications up to 480 volts
· Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge of hand tools
· Knowledge of AC and DC circuits, wire guidance, hydraulics, and battery maintenance
· Working knowledge of programmable controllers
· Knowledge of carpentry skills, including woodworking, door repair, drywall, metal studs, floor coverings, wall coverings, concrete, basic electrical, welding and plumbing.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
