SUMMARY: Provides direct support to the Superintendent and Project Manager. Reviews, processes and maintains submittals and RFIs. Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the construction project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Reviews submittals for completeness and compliance with drawings.
- Creates and maintains submittal log.
- Processes submittals and keeps project team apprised of schedule needs.
- Reviews RFIs from sub/suppliers prior to forwarding them to designer.
- Logs, submits, tracks and distributes RFIs.
- Understands scope of design changes documents.
- Understands design change documents.
- Posts design documents with RFIs and design changes.
- Files project documentation.
- Communicates in a professional manner.
- Understands schedule needs of project and communicates such with subs/suppliers.
- Produces accurate quantity take offs.
- Assembles O & M manuals.
- Manages extra stock and equipment transfer to owner.
- Assists with the update of as-built drawings.
- Assists with tracking work orders
- Accurately takes notes at meetings.
EDUCATION: BA degree in Construction Management or related field.
SKILLS: Must demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently in areas of responsibility. Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with owners, staff, subs and suppliers. Must be able to proactively determine solutions to problems in areas of responsibility. Must have good organizational and time management skills.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office machines. Must be able to drive a vehicle and walk active construction sites. Must be able to climb stairs and
