We're looking to hire a technician who can help keep our machines running at our 24/7 facility. Alongside a team of Technical Operations Leads, you will be responsible for extensive troubleshooting, on-call technical support, preventative maintenance, training, and documentation.
2-4 year college degree, or trade school experience, is highly preferred but not required.
Expect to spend 2-3 months training as a Print Production Operator before moving into the technician role. Comprehensive understanding of our process and machines is necessary as this equipment is highly specialized.

Job Purpose
Maintain & improve overall operational and mechanical efficiency
- Ensure all production equipment is well maintained to maximize length of life
- Manage procurement and installation of necessary equipment and upgrades to minimize downtime and cost
Facilitate internal technical support program to eliminate downtime
- Document all operations processes to be utilized by operations team as issues and unfamiliar instances arise
- Create and distribute illustrated guides for proper troubleshooting, ensuring uniform process across the company
Foster an environment of continuous improvement and learning
- Utilize existing resources and seek new opportunities to grow technical knowledge of operations equipment
- Prepare and distribute learnings across the organization to better equip operators and management with the necessary tools optimize efficiency
Job Responsibilities
Provide continuous on-call support to all canworks locations
- In conjunction with a team of Technical Operations Leads, perform weekly on-call rotations for technical support at all Canworks locations.
- Troubleshoot remotely and in person with operators helping production move forward in a timely manner
- Escalate technical issues to necessary parties when solutions cannot be found in house.
- Communicate ongoing technical issues with operations leadership to identify opportunities of process and mechanical improvement
- Periodically travel between Canworks locations as necessary to cover for other Technical Operations Leads
Build upon and improve technical documentation
- Work alongside Technical Operations Manager as the SME for all aspects of technical documentation on our machinery.
- Capture multimedia resources for operators and technicians to utilize for complex troubleshooting procedures
- Ensure resources and procedures are consistent across all locations, regularly sharing knowledge across the Technical Operations Team
Act as technical liaison between Canworks and external vendors
- Conduct regularly and periodically scheduled check ins with Hinterkopf, Ska, Decosystem, Kaishan, and Colorgate
- Provide communication and downtime logs to Hinterkopf to assist in machine maintenance
- Work with Technical operations manager to utilize external vendors to procure and develop proper process for maintaining, upgrading, and repairing equipment
- Create and manage systems to document and preserve communications and learnings.
Execute technical inventory management and preventative maintenance schedules
- Working alongside the Technical Operations Manager, review, document, and request necessary spare parts for preventative maintenance and emergency replacements
- Maintain stock of all technical consumables ensuring established minimums are met
- Perform regular inventory checks to ensure inventories are continuously documented and monitored
Continuously build upon knowledge of our machines and improve process
- Seek out opportunities for building upon existing technical and operational knowledge
- Utilize said knowledge to bring forth opportunities for new process, maintenance, and overall efficiency

This gives breweries and other beverage companies the ability to purchase the highest quality printed cans on the market in much smaller quantities, with shorter lead times, and eliminate all single-use plastic shrink sleeves and labels.
