SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
LOCATION: 7850 N 81st St, Milwaukee, WI 53223
SHIPPER / RECEIVER: This role includes welding, packaging, line setup, quality inspection, and material movement with forklifts and overhead cranes. Previous experience as a machine operator is a plus.
STARTING PAY: $21.25 - $25.00/hr (with the opportunity to earn several increases within your first two years)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant standing and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Frequent walking, balancing, push/pulling, reaching and lifting up to 35 lbs.

Occasional below waist level work, use of fine motor skills, and forceful motion.

Minimal foot use, climbing, carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Forklift experience.

Proven ability to self-direct workload.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One plus years’ shipping/receiving and warehouse experience.

Experience with a bar code scanning system.

Experience with online freight scheduling systems.

Ability to load a truck for shipment.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
-
Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with shipping practices/requirements. Assemble and verify orders, pack materials and attach shipping instructions. Verify and apply plant-specific labels.

Load trucks. Prepare shipping reports and documents.

Receive incoming materials, supplies, and returned goods; check purchased stock and finished items, equipment, supplies, and returned goods. Check goods received to purchase orders or receiving slips, maintain records and prepare necessary receiving reports and inventory transactions. Check quantity, type, size, part number, dimensions, etc. to identify materials properly. Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.

Participate in warehouse and storage maintenance and organization including following stock rotation procedures and verifying all stock is store in proper location.

Enter inventory and other data into the computer accurately and perform other computer-related functions.

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Look for methods to improve and promote quality; monitor your own work to ensure quality.
