Snelling is currently recruiting for a Sales Agent for a company that specializes in supplying high quality, branded industrial plastic sheet and ventilation pipe and fittings in the Birmingham area. The starting salary for this opening is $50,000k, plus commission.
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SALES AGENT:
- Ensures that a strategy, route and resources are designed and managed for prospecting new customers in the market based on the market's sales goal and internal prospecting and sales procedure.
- Ensures that all the queries and requests of the clients are responded to on time according to the procedure and politics of company.
- Ensures that all the information, data and results of the total sales from the branch office are documented and registered on the platform and authorized systems by the company according to the internal procedures.
- Ensures that information on market trends, customer behavior and competitors is managed to document and inform the company's Export Sales team.
- Ensures continuous communication between the branch office team and the corporative departments to identify continuous improvement opportunities and results of the market and internal communication.
JOB DUTIES FOR SALES AGENT:
- Research and identify prospective clients through market analysis.
- Establish and maintain long term relationships with the customers and attend to their needs and preferences.
- Perform portfolio analysis to identify opportunities for upselling and service customization.
- Meet sales objectives and develop sales strategies.
- Resolve issues and manage complaints to maintain a positive customer experience.
- Identify and hire new prospects, presenting the company's products and services.
- Act as a promoter of the company's products and services, conducting demonstrations and presentations for current and potential clients.
- Participate in promotional events, trade shows and marketing activities as assigned to the position to increase brand visibility and reach.
- Design and management of Promotion and prospecting activities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR SALES AGENT:
- Bachelor Degree or College studies
- 5 years’ experience in the market
- 2 year experience in the logistics and transportation sector
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, prospecting or promotion
- The position requires traveling by car an average of 10 days a month within a 200-mile radius of the branch for prospecting and sales.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES NEEDED:
- Basic knowledge on prospection, sales and negotiation technics.
- Basic knowledge of the marketing model and “customs” in the logistics and transportation sector of the region.
- Basic knowledge to design a route and prospecting strategy.
- Basic knowledge to design a sales budget.
- Basic knowledge to design a quote and customer service proposal.
- Basic knowledge of online meeting applications such as Meet and Zoom.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge on sales and inventory control.
- Intermediate knowledge of EPICOR.
- Basic knowledge of managing a customer complaint, a return, etc. corporate procedures that apply to the operation of the branch.
