Summary:
We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team! You will install,service, and repair commercial/industrial laundry water treatment and wastewater systems. This position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of technical services including startup, commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs and emergency service of wastewater processing and treatment equipment related to commercial / industrial laundry facilities.
Responsibilities:
Perform startup and commissioning of a wide variety of installed water treatment equipment.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure they are performing to manufacturer specifications and customer expectations.
Perform equipment repairs and replacements.
Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
This is a field service position with a majority of the work occurring out of town at the customer's location. Locations include the continental US, Canada and other locations.
During periods of no travel, local responsibilities will include phone support of customers, local support of active fabrications of equipment.
Organizes all work details (work performed, service recommendations, etc.) and completes an accurate service report.Prepares service reports of work completed, and when applicable, makes recommendations for corrective action.
Coordinates field service activity with customer representatives.
Maintain a clean, organized service appearance.
Qualifications:
Must have a clean record.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Two or more years of Commercial equipment and system experience. Commercial Laundry experience is beneficial.Previous experience in mechanical field service or other related work. This is not an entry-level position.
Familiarity with industrial wiring diagrams of 600VAC and DC control circuits.
Ability to handle physical workload. This job will keep you on your feet!
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Must be able to work independently and in a team-based environment.
Must be able to work outside of regular business hours which will include nights and weekends.
Must be able to leave town on short notice.
Willingness to travel on an as needed basis.
Must have, or be able to acquire a U.S. passport, and to qualify for access to U.S. government installations and U.S. government suppliers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb, bend or stoop, extended periods of walking, exposure to weather conditions, operation of power tools.The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to
75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can become louder with proximity to machinery. Odor of equipment, waste water and chemicals should be expected and must be tolerated. Some outdoor work may occur. The candidate must be able to work in an outdoor environment as required.
