Job Description:
KPA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated person to function as a Professional Engineer. In this position, you will work collaboratively with various design engineering execution teams. You will perform all aspects of design engineering tasks for the assigned systems of responsibility. Ideal candidates have knowledge and experience related to transportation, water & wastewater/biosolids, or storm drainage services.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated individual with an appetite to develop their technical expertise to join our team. Individual duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing complete plans, specifications, and other project documents.
- Cooperates and communicates effectively with Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Applies and monitors compliance to applicable codes, engineering practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and design specifications.
- Leadership and teamwork skills to effectively assign responsibilities and mentor the project design team (e.g., EITs, AutoCAD Technicians) and plans, executes, and manages scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet project stakeholder needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 4 years related work experience.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing detailed project drawings and technical specifications.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Independent and critical thinking skills.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
